News Release of Public Meetings Announced for May 26, 2022 and June 14, 2022 – Next Steps Toward Protecting Carpinteria Groundwater Basin
The public is invited to learn more and provide input before the CGSA Board of Directors considers a fee proposal at its public hearing on June 22. Two community meetings are planned in May and June.
Notice of Public Meeting February 7, 2020 for Formation of Groundwater Sustainability Agency (GSA)
The first Board meeting of the new Agency will be held February 7th at Noon at the Carpinteria Valley Water District offices, 1301 Santa Ynez Ave in Carpinteria.
Notice of Public Meetings January 29 and January 31, 2020 for Formation of Joint Powers Authority (JPA) for the Purposes of Forming a Groundwater Sustainability Agency (GSA)
These meetings will serve as public hearings required by Water Code Section 10723 (b) for the designation of the JPA to be the GSA for Carpinteria Groundwater Basin under the SGMA.

The City of Carpinteria, Carpinteria Valley Water District (CVWD), and the Counties of Santa Barbara and Ventura will cohost a Town Hall meeting to discuss formation of a Groundwater Sustainability Agency (GSA) under the Sustainable Groundwater Management Act (SGMA).
